چکیده

The conversion of CO 2 to solid carbon by the electrochemical method is an attractive process as a recycling technology, but electrolyte has been limited high-temperature molten salts. In this study, electrodeposition from on Ag substrate in triethylpentylphosphonium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide at room temperature and 1 atm atmosphere was investigated. Cyclic voltammetry with multiple cycles revealed that three potential steps causing reduction, oxidation, reduction current are important for . Based cyclic voltammogram, potentiostatic electrolysis performed steps. Consequently, covered black film because electrodeposited carbon. Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission microscopy deposits were composed nanometer-size silver particles coming substrate. From experimental results, we propose model formation mechanism This study shows convert into valuable carbonaceous materials optimized parameters, even temperature, technique will contribute developing carbon-circulation society.

Electrodeposition at room temperature of amorphous silicon and germanium nanowires in ionic liquid

The electrodeposition at room temperature of silicon and germanium nanowires from the airand water-stable ionic liquid 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (P1,4) containing SiCl4 as Si source or GeCl4 as Ge source is investigated by cyclic voltammetry. By using nanoporous polycarbonate membranes as templates, it is possible to reproducibly grow pure silicon and germ...

Formic acid electro-synthesis from carbon dioxide in a room temperature ionic liquid.

The novel synthesis of formic acid has been achieved in a room temperature ionic liquid via the reaction of electro-activated carbon dioxide and protons on pre-anodised platinum. Only mild reaction conditions of room temperature and 1 atm CO(2) were used. This work highlights the effect of pre-anodisation on Pt surfaces.

Aluminium Electrodeposition from Ionic Liquid: Effect of Deposition Temperature and Sonication †

Since their discovery, ionic liquids (ILs) have attracted a wide interest for their potential use as a medium for many chemical processes, in particular electrochemistry. As electrochemical media they allow the electrodeposition of elements that are impossible to reduce in aqueous media. We have investigated the electrodeposition of aluminium from 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium chloride ((Bmim)Cl...

The electrodeposition of zinc alloys from ionic liquid electrolytes

Electrodeposited zinc alloys have long been recognised as effective barrier and sacrificial coatings for ferrous substrates. The effect of alloying zinc with, in the main, more noble metals, has produced finishes of higher corrosion resistance than simply electrodeposited zinc. In this manner zinc alloys such as zinc-nickel, zinc-cobalt and zinc-iron are routinely electrodeposited on an industr...
